An Overview of Weddings From World Over

Wedding is a journey of two people together for a lifetime.  The ceremony binds two people in a knot to join their family. The wedding traditions and customs keep changing between different countries, groups, religions, social classes and caste. Similar to the other communities, Pakistan too celebrates weddings with a lot of passion. In pakistan, the weddings are performed in an Islamic way, as majority of people are Muslims. Doodh pilai and Joota chupai are the popular wedding customs for Baraat. Walima is a grand feast given by groom’s family in bride’s honor.
 In Arab culture, there are two types of wedding culture. One for Christian wedding and the other for Muslim wedding. In the Muslim traditions, wedding are not forced on any as both the individuals need to accept each other.

Bengali and Indian wedding customs also include two types of wedding culture. Muslim and the Hindu culture. Chinese also have unique wedding customs including a tea ceremony which an old way of conducting a marriage in China. Different cultures offer a different way to conduct marriage. But marriage universally means to unite two souls together for a lifetime.
